AngusMcFlourishlogoAngus McFlourish is an exciting new project that people from Angus Voice are taking part in. The project aims to prevent loneliness and isolation for people with mental health problems in Angus.

To do this, we are putting together a list of activities to do throughout the year so there are lots of opportunities for people to spend time together having fun. So far the activities we are planning range from photography taster sessions to cinema trips.

We will also then be looking at businesses in Arbroath, and the surrounding area, that are ‘mental health friendly’. We hope that this means we can make a list of places where people with mental health problems can go and not feel worried about not being welcome.

Finally, we will be putting together our tips and hints for coping with loneliness as we know this can affect lots of us.

We would love it if you came along to some (or all) of the events, let us know if you have a ‘mental health friendly’ business or had some tips for preventing loneliness to share with us. To get in touch, send us an email at alice@otbds.org, call Callum on 077 043 800 77 or find us on Facebook or twitter.
